About

From an early age I've been interested in horseracing. When I was 15 at a boys school, I ran a sweepstake on the English Oaks. The favourite was Sweet Solera and that was the ticket I chose because of my surname. She also happened to be the favourite and duely won.

This was probably my grounding to become a bookmaker in my twenties and later to become a tipster and software writer in my 50's

In 1995. I came to South Africa and discovered that the racing in this country was very similar to that of the UK so I started to study the form and found that I could pick winners quite well. I started to write some books on how I was analysing form and advertised them in Computerform.

Within a couple of years I became quite well known, often appearing on Tellytrack to give my selections with Andrew Bon on the local Port Elizabeth race meetings.

I then started to write some horseracing software for myself to help structure my bets. This became known as the Genie software and it is still sold today, mainly for the Jackpot, Picks-six, Place Accumulator and the Quartets.

There are many people who can tip and back winners, but unless you know how to structure your betting, they most likely lose even though they often have an edge of other players.

I now live in a beautiful house in Port Elizabeth overlooking the ocean and spend a great deal of time studying horseracing form which is still much passion and running other businesses.

On this website you will find my books and software which is available and I also run a daily SMS service for horseracing in South Africa. More details can be found on some of my other pages.

Enjoy this website as much as I enjoy running it. And don't be worried about dropping me an email, I will do my best to answer it within 24 hours.

I have one or two mottoes for horseracing and the first one is "don't be greedy just win", and a second one is bet on the exchanges like Betfair then your chances of winning are excellent and there are many professionals who make an excellent living betting and laying horses and sports bets.

The methods I teach are fundamental for serious horse players and many a bookmaker and expert would use my methods whether they have heard of me or not.

If you have to bet with a bookmaker, then your return on investment will be less, but it is still possible to win as you have one thing in your favour, you do not have to bet every race, you can choose to bet when you feel the odds are in your favour.

My methods will help you make that decision

Have fun.

John
